The eServer pSeries 680, formerly known as the RS/6000 S85 Turbo, features the company's Silicon-on-Insulator (SOI) technology, which is also used in the iSeries 400 model 840, along with an Intel-based rack-mountable server. According to IBM, the new processors improve performance 60% to 65% from its other line Unix servers. |
