ASG will support renamed zSeries 900
Allen Systems Group, Inc. , a software and services provider to Global-5000 companies, announced its support of IBM new eServer zSeries 900, formerly the System 390. ASG's line of operations and legacy-to-eBusiness solutions will empower organizations to leverage IT assets regardless of platform. ASG plans to have all of its OS/390 products available for the new eServer zSeries 900 platform.

The IBM/TurboLinux road show may be rolling into a city near you. Topics such as Linux solutions on the zSeries of IBM eServers will be covered. Linux analyst, Dan Kuznetsky of International Data Corporation will be the keynote speaker at the conferences. IBM today announced availability of a special academic license for the IBM Application Developer's Kit for Linux, valued at more than $27,000 to qualified higher education faculty for use in teaching, learning and research. The CD-ROM software package includes IBM DB2* Universal Database Enterprise Edition for Linux, WebSphere Application Server and other applications. This offering is part of IBM's e-business Technology in Academia Program.
